This Privacy Policy explains how WebTech ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use education.akdwk.in (in a browser or installed as an app). By using our services you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, mobile number, email address, password (stored only in encrypted / hashed form), profile photo (optional).
• Teacher details: qualification, bio, and bank / UPI / PAN details required for payouts.
• Purchase details: plans and courses bought, amount, order and payment reference numbers, invoices. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure page and are not stored by us.
• Usage details: videos watched, watch progress, device type, IP address, browser / app version and log-in history – used for learning progress, security and preventing account sharing.
• Messages: information you send us through contact / support forms, email or phone.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and give access to purchased content.
• To process payments, generate invoices and handle refunds.
• To send password-reset emails, purchase confirmations, important service messages and support replies.
• To calculate teacher earnings and make payouts.
• To protect content from piracy (for example the watermark on videos) and to detect fraud or misuse.
• To improve our courses, website and app.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Payment gateway (Razorpay) to process payments and refunds;
• Service providers such as hosting, video streaming, email providers, only as needed to run the service;
• Teachers – only the information needed for the courses you take (for example your name in course progress / support);
• Government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, remember your settings (such as dark / light theme) and protect forms from misuse.

5. Data security and retention

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, encrypted storage of sensitive settings and restricted access to protect your data. We keep your data as long as your account is active or as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

You can view and update your profile at any time from My Account. You can request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Some records (such as invoices) must be kept as required by law.

7. Children

Students below 18 years should use the platform with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
